Clogged downspout cleaning and repair in El Dorado Hills, CA

A new or replacement downspout in El Dorado Hills runs $50–$150, and extensions run $25–$100 each. When we install new seamless gutters ($17–$25 per foot), the downspouts are included.

Away from the foundation. El Dorado Hills has steep slopes, decorative hardscapes, and granite soils that accelerate runoff, so we carry water 4 to 10 feet from the house with an extension, or tie the downspout into a splash block, pop-up emitter or solid drain line where the yard allows.

One at each corner of a run and at least one every 35 to 40 feet of gutter. Long runs, big roof sections that drain into one gutter, and valleys that dump a lot of water often need an extra downspout or a larger 3x4-inch one.

Yes. We run solid pipe from the downspout to a pop-up emitter or another outlet downhill from the house. Solid pipe matters: perforated pipe lets the water out next to the foundation, which defeats the purpose.

The downspout is clogged, the extension is too short, or the ground slopes back toward the house. El Dorado Hills gutters collect oak pollen, wildfire ash, and pool overflow near patios, and that debris tends to settle in the elbows, so we flush and water-test every downspout we work on.
